Happy Thanksgiving! It's nearly the long weekend and time to celebrate. Your commute across the city could be disrupted by subway closures. So make sure to stay informed.

Here’s what you need to know:

What's Closed

There will be no subway service on Line 2 between St George and Woodbine stations Saturday, October 12 and Sunday, October 13, 2019 for track work.

Weekend

How To Navigate The Service Disruptions

Shuttle buses will operate. Wheel-Trans service will be available for customers requiring accessible service. Customers should see any TTC employee to request the service.

To maintain efficient service during this closure, shuttle buses will not enter Woodbine Station. Eastbound shuttle buses will operate via Strathmore Boulevard and Cedarvale Avenue to route westbound on Danforth Avenue.

Parking Restrictions

To reduce congestion and help improve travel times for all on Danforth Avenue during the subway closure, parking will be temporarily restricted near key intersections with high volumes of buses and customers boarding and off-loading. The intersections on Danforth Ave. affected are Broadview Ave., Chester Ave., Pape Ave., Donlands Ave., Linnsmore Crescent and Coxwell Ave.

Parking restrictions will be in effect between 6 a.m. Saturday to 2:30 a.m. Sunday, and 7:30 a.m. Sunday to 2:30 a.m. Monday.

How To Pay

If you’re paying with PRESTO during the subway closure just tap your card when you first board the TTC.

If you are transferring from the subway to a shuttle bus or from a shuttle bus to the subway, don’t tap your PRESTO card again. Unlike normal subway to bus transfers, shuttle buses do not need a second tap.

Cash and token fares will still be accepted on the shuttle bus, which will get you a transfer onto the subway (and vice versa).
