After last weekend’s 10 station closure, the subway is back to functioning at full service, but the same can’t be said about streetcar and bus routes.
This weekend, the TTC has announced two temporary route changes happening on the west side of the city.
Temporary Route Changes
Queens Quay West
The 509 streetcar will be replaced by buses starting at 1:30 a.m. on Mar. 2 until 4 a.m. on Mar. 4. A 310 Spadina bus replacement will also run between Spadina Avenue and Queens Quay West and Front Street and Bay Street, connecting you to King Station. The 510 and 310 Spadina streetcar will also be affected with services only running between Spadina Station and Spadina Avenue and Queens Quay West.
Starting on Mar. 1 through Mar. 8 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Manitoba Drive will be closed for Canada Blooms. During this time, 29C Dufferin will divert southbound from Manitoba Drive, south on Nova Scotia Avenue, east and south on Nunavut Road, east on Princes’ Boulevard, north on Canada Boulevard and through Princes’ Gate Loop before heading back northbound.
Heading northbound, 29C Dufferin will maintain its regular route.
How To Pay
If you’re paying with PRESTO during the route change just tap your card when you first board the TTC.
If you are transferring from the subway to a shuttle bus or from a shuttle bus to the subway, don’t tap your PRESTO card again. Unlike normal subway to bus transfers, shuttle buses do not need a second tap.
Cash and token fares will still be accepted on the shuttle bus, which will get you a transfer onto the subway (and vice versa).
