After a very chilly week in Toronto, the deep freeze is finally coming to an end (for a couple of days at least). In fact, the city is expected to experience a major temperature swing in the next 36 hours.
While it’s currently -8°C in Toronto this morning (feeling more like -14°C with the wind chill), the forecast is calling for a high of 8°C on Sunday, which is a pretty sweet 16°C temperature swing between now and Sunday Funday.

Plus, we're going to see plenty of sunshine all weekend long.
The only problem is we have to get through Thursday first, which The Weather Network says will be the coldest day of the week as daytime highs are well below freezing. You should also keep in mind that overnight lows are expected to be much colder, possibly below the -10°C mark and feeling colder with the wind chill heading into Friday morning.
But by Friday, temperatures are set to make a "drastic rebound," leading us into a weekend that will look and feel more like spring. Better yet, by Sunday, temperatures will be well above seasonal, and according to The Weather Network, not far from double-digit daytime highs, in addition to an abundance of sunshine.
"This will be a gorgeous weekend, especially by winter standards," says Weather Network meteorologist Tyler Hamilton.
But alas, don't get too used to the mild temperatures, The Weather Network says "much colder weather is expected by the second half of next week and into the start of March, along with a more wintry pattern and some unsettled weather."
