The weekend ahead is poised to bring Toronto a mix of rain and sun, but one promise remains consistent: there are a number of road closures to be aware of over the next few days.
This weekend, Toronto's ActiveTO programming will cause two sections of roadway throughout the city to close, while additional roadwork will impact the Gardiner Expressway.

From Saturday, September 12 at 6 am to Sunday, September 13 at 11 pm, these are all of the roads that will be closed:
This week, the stretch of Lake Shore Boulevard East between Leslie Street and Woodbine Avenue will not be a part of the weekly closure, as nearby closures are planned for Gardiner work. In the meantime, the Martin Goodman Trail and beaches will still be open for use.
According to the City, the ActiveTO road closures will be in place every weekend up to and including September 27.
On warm weekends especially, the city says popular recreational trails like the (waterfront) Martin Goodman Trail and the Lower Don Trail have been overcrowded. The recurring weekend and holiday closures of major streets adjacent to these trails serve as a way to ensure people have space to practice physical distancing.
