The return of the Toronto Light Fest is right around the corner.

During the coldest and darkest days of winter, the Toronto Light Fest will offer Torontonians a reason to bundle up, get outside, and celebrate not only the season but also creativity and life in the city.

Visitors of the festival will be taken on a visual journey as they walk the streets of the Distillery District and explore dozens of exhibits created by local and international light artists.

The fourth annual light fest will once again light up Toronto's historic Distillery District this month, running for 45 days from January 17 until March 1. Make sure to arrive after dusk for the best experience (obviously).

Hosted by the team behind the Toronto Christmas Market, the light fest will span 13-acres, with installations set to cover 44 buildings in the historic district.

In case you haven't attended the light fest in the past, here are some photos from previous years to help set the tone for what's to come.
