Toronto advance polls are open and the race is officially on for the 2018 municipal election.
Advance polls are open from Wednesday to Sunday, between 10 a.m. and 7 p.m.

If you are eligible to vote, you should have received a voter card by now. If you haven't, you can get one on the City of Toronto's MyVote site. Also be sure to bring a piece of identification with your name and your Toronto address to the polling station (a driver's licence or utility bill are popular go-tos).

Not sure where to find advance voting locations in your ward? Check out your voting card or the MyVote site. If you want to go all out, you can also head over to city hall to cast your advance ballot, no matter where in Toronto you live.
While 2014 was a record year for voter turnout, city officials are hoping to break that record this time around.

Last election saw 161,147 people cast an advance-voting ballot, but those votes were able to pour in during a six-day advance voting period.
Election day is Oct. 22. And who knows what traffic the weather could bring that day, given the ups and downs we've been having. So, take advantage of the beautiful day and vote!
