Scarborough Town Centre to Unveil New Mural at "Show the Love" Event

Whether you call Scarborough your home or you just happen to be in the area this weekend, you're invited to show your love for the community at a special activation taking place.

On Saturday, February 8, Scarborough Town Centre is hosting Show the Love, a family-friendly event featuring renowned local artist Durothethird, as he unveils a new mural bursting with community pride.

After his successful run at Nuit Blanche in 2019, Arturo ‘Durothethird’ Parada will once again leave his mark on the shopping centre with his new mural appropriately titled Scarborough Royalty.

Visitors can also look forward to fun retail activations from Scaddabush, Lindt, LCBO, and DAVIDsTEA, and the opportunity to purchase merchandise and prints from Durothethird, with a portion of proceeds donated to WIRES Wildlife Rescue’s initiatives for the Australian fires. Scarborough's deputy mayor Michael Thompson will also be on-site to meet guests.

“We’re excited to launch Scarborough Town Centre’s second collaboration with local artist Durothethird, an illustration of Scarborough pride, through Show the Love,” says Lisa Resnic, Marketing Manager, STC. “Show The Love is a combination of art, community, and retail – core pillars of STC."
