If the first week of November has you wishing you were basking in the August sun, we're happy to declare that, while you can't turn back time, you can plan ahead.

And Breakwater -- stunning, sprawling, and able to sleep 20 -- is happy to help you do so.

Located on Tondern Island, Lake Muskoka, in the luxe Millionaires Row of Beaumaris Yacht Club, this lodge-style lake house can accommodate a crowd, offering a glimmer of hope for larger-scale gatherings and the company of friends in days to come.

The rental is boasting availability from June 1, 2021, and is asking a minimum three-night stay. Priced at $3,600 per day, this is the prime place to pitch in for with your closest family friends; a place where everyone can look forward to finding refuge when the warm weather returns.

Renters will be greeted by 300 feet of shoreline -- covered by an expansive waterfront boardwalk -- upon (by-boat!) arrival. As you cross the waters, you'll see Breakwater standing tall upon a rocky ledge; once inside, you'll be able to take in breathtaking westerly views that, during your excursion over the lake, you were actually a part of.

Originally built in 1896, the structure's walls and ceilings are made from hand-selected British Columbian Douglas Fir, providing the classic, cozy cottage vibe you seek, despite the rental's 8,500-square-foot size.

Indeed, throughout the place, 14 individually-themed bedrooms await, while two more rest in the boathouse. (Psst! No matter which one you choose, you'll be getting your own in-room satellite TV!) Chambers aside, the resort-style space features several amenities that make it an ideal fit for a group, including a large catering kitchen with an indoor propane barbecue, and deep fryer.

When it comes time to eat, the elegant dining room is complete with warming tables, ideal for serve-yourself or family-style meals, and can comfortably seat 24 people.

For indoor moments that could use a little outdoor-infusion, the screened Muskoka room provides the perfect (bug-free) place from which to watch the sunset after dinner. And during the days, there's no doubt you'll be spending most (read: all) of your time soaking up the sun from the massive dock down by the water.

Diving boards, swim docks, an outdoor shower, and clear waters beckon for everyone to embrace the opportunity to be outside, while the trampoline and badminton net on-site seal the deal. Meanwhile, the hot tub -- which can accommodate 12 people -- will invite folks to continue enjoying the fresh air, even as the day turns to evening.

If laundry needs to be done, three washers and three dryers are available... or, you could fully embrace the spirit of your summer vacation and, fully clothed, go jump in the lake!
