If you don’t have a car in Toronto, you know the struggle of lugging home large amounts of groceries. Sure, you could just buy less products, but then you’d have to make multiple trips to the store, and really, who has time for that?

Luckily, Loblaw Companies Ltd. has introduced a new service called PC Express that will make grocery shopping a whole lot easier. This service allows people to pre-order groceries online and pick them up at one of three TTC subway stations: Finch, High Park, or Islington.

“PC Express will make Toronto commuters’ lives a little bit easier by putting their groceries right on their transit route home,” Herman Paek, senior vice president of Loblaw Digital, said in a news release.

Orders can be placed online or through the PC Express app. And to make things even more convenient, PC Express offers same-day orders and pick up.

There’s a catch, though. Orders need to be placed by 11 a.m. in order to be ready for pick up between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Those who live near High Park can also use the service for weekend groceries. Orders made by 9 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday will be ready for pick up between 2 p.m. and 5 p.m. the same day.

It’s unknown whether or not PC Express will expand to more TTC subway stations in the future. However, considering the company’s commitment to making commuters’ lives easier, it seems like a good possibility.

In addition to the three TTC subway stops, PC Express is also available at six GO Train stations between Burlington and Whitby. It also offers pre-orders and pick ups from nearly 700 stores nationwide.
