Those planning on taking the subway this weekend should be advised that track maintenance continues on Line 1, causing four subway stations to close.

According to the TTC, the stations between Sheppard-Yonge and Eglinton — which also includes York Mills and Lawrence — will be closed for track work on Saturday, March 7 and Sunday, March 8.

The TTC says shuttle buses will operate along the normal subway route on Yonge Street with buses stopping at all the regular subway station stops, just outside the typical zone. Customers requiring Wheel-Trans during the closure can speak to any TTC customer service employee to request the service.

Despite trains not stopping at the select stops, the stations will remain open for fare sales along with access to surface routes and Line 4 from Sheppard-Tonge.

At York Mills Station, the Old York Mills Road entrance will be closed, so customers are advised to use the other station entrances located in the York Mills Centre, Yonge Corporate Centre, and at the corner of Yonge Street and Wilson Avenue.

At Lawrence Station, the automatic entrances at Ranleigh Avenue and Bedford Park Avenue will also be closed. Customers are advised to use the entrances at Yonge Street and Lawrence Avenue.
