What’s open and closed on Canada Day long weekend in Toronto?
Well, with Canada Day falling on a Sunday, it actually leaves many Toronto businesses open for the long weekend — or working on a reduced schedule.
This long weekend, there’s a surprising number of places where you can shop, have fun, and buy groceries. The LCBO will even be open on Canada Day itself (Sunday). But take note, the LCBO will be closed on Monday.
As usual, always be sure to call and double check to make sure the schedules run as advertised.
PLACES THAT ARE CLOSED
*For restaurants, you’ll want to call ahead to confirm operations since many already consider Mondays a day off.
PLACES THAT ARE STILL OPEN
As Canada Day is Sunday, grocery stores will resume their regular hours of operation. Make sure to call your local grocer ahead of time to double check their schedule.
