According to Gord Perks, City Councillor of Ward 4, Parkdale-High Park, there is interest from a developer to redevelop the former Cadillac Lounge and surrounding spaces into a 7-storey mixed-use building complete with "hotel suites, event space, and retail space, as well as townhouses on Noble Street." The developer is also looking to offer underground parking for an as yet undetermined number of cars.

A pre-application meeting has been set for Thursday, January 23 at which a presentation will be made by the developer, while Perks will host a Q&A afterwards. According to the event listing on Perks' website, City Planning staff will also be onsite to answer questions.

The initial proposal is for a re-zoning of 1296-1314 Queen Street West, which would include storefronts other than the Cadillac Lounge, namely GUU Isakaya and the Copenhagen Vegan Café.

The Parkdale community is being encouraged to attend and provide feedback.
