Dr. Faith Banks, a ’96 graduate of the Ontario Veterinary College at the University of Guelph, started Midtown Mobile Veterinary Services, an in-home hospice and euthanasia service in 2012. She is amongst the first group to become certified as a Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian (CHPV). She is a contributing author in the newly released textbook, "Treatment and Care of the Geriatric Veterinary Patient." She has completed numerous courses relating to geriatrics, pain management, animal hospice, canine massage, trigger point therapy, in addition to her certification as a Pet Loss Counsellor. Her goal in providing compassionate in-home palliative and hospice care and ultimately, end-of-life care, is to allow people to strengthen and lengthen the bond they share with their pet.
