TTC Subway Closure: Line 1 Stations To Close Early (Sept. 23-26)

September 24, 2019

05:10 AM

Happy Autumn! There are early night TTC subway closures this week that could affect your commute so stay informed.

Here’s what you need to know:

What’s Closed

Subway service on Line 1 between Bloor-Yonge and St Andrew stations will end at 11 p.m. nightly from Monday, Sept. 23 to Thursday, Sept. 26 for track work. Regularly scheduled service will resume each following morning at approximately 6 a.m.

How To Navigate The Service Disruptions

Shuttle buses will operate. Wheel-Trans service will be available for customers requiring accessible service. As Lawrence Station is not yet an accessible station, customers travelling southbound on Line 1 who require an accessible connection should exit the train at York Mills Station and request Wheel-Trans service from any TTC employee.

How To Pay

If you’re paying with PRESTO during the subway closure just tap your card when you first board the TTC.

If you are transferring from the subway to a shuttle bus or from a shuttle bus to the subway, don’t tap your PRESTO card again. Unlike normal subway to bus transfers, shuttle buses do not need a second tap.

Cash and token fares will still be accepted on the shuttle bus, which will get you a transfer onto the subway (and vice versa).
