It’s an exciting weekend in Toronto with tons of free cultural, food and art festivals happening across the city. If you’re looking to eat, dance or create, there’s something for everyone. If you’ve got kids, there’s lots of child-friendly events with activities for them to participate. It might be back-to-school season, but you can still get outside and do things while the warm weather lasts.

1. Toronto Ukrainian Festival

Where: Bloor West Village (Bloor St. W from Jane St. to Runnymede Rd.)
When: Friday from 5 p.m. to Sunday at 7 p.m.

The Toronto Ukranian Festival is back to take over Bloor St. West between Jane St. and Runnymede Rd. Enjoy the largest Ukranian festival of its kind in North America and all the free entertainmen it has to offer. Expect performers from across the globe in attendance.

Where: Downtown (Yonge St. from Bloor to Queen and Bloor St. from Ossington to Church)
When: Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Created to bring people into the streets of the city to participate in public life, Open Streets TO has all sorts of activities, workshops and courses. Back for its second year, you will find tons of fun things to do right in the downtown core.

3. RELISH The Foodie Event

Where: Cloverdale Mall 250 β€” The East Mall
When: Saturday from 11am a.m. to Sunday at 7 p.m.

This two-day food festival in the west end of the city will leave you in a food coma. Hosted by celebrity chef Shahir Massoud, this food truck-centric event will have eats from Alijandro’s Kitchen, Delight Bite, Holy Cannoli and The Kathi Roll Express.

4. Danforth East Arts Fair

Where: East Lynn Park β€” 1949 Danforth Ave.
When: Saturday from 10 a.m. to Sunday at 5 p.m.

This event brings an eclectic mix of local artists to a beautiful outdoor setting.There will be acoustic music, children’s activities and crafts and snack options from local restaurants.

5. Roncesvalles Polish Festival

Where: Roncesvalles Village (Roncesvalles Ave. from Dundas to Howard Park)
When: Saturday from 11 a.m. to Sunday at 11 p.m.

Join North America’s largest celebration of Polish culture in the heart of Roncesvalles Village. This weekend, the two-day event will host local and international music and cuisine from over 40 restaurants, cafes, bakeries and bistros.

6. Planet Gazing Party

Where: Dunlap Institute for Astronomy & Astrophysics β€” 50 St. George. St.
When: Saturday from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

If you love space and the cosmos, join this planet viewing party to feast your eyes on the solar system. Telescopes will allow viewers to see Jupiter, Saturday and their moons and astronomers will be on sight for all your geeky needs.

7. Christie Pits Park Artisan Market

Where: Christie Pits Park β€” 750 Bloor St. W
When: Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Toronto Artisan Market is hosting an outdoor exhibition in Christie Pits Park. Head on over this Sunday to check out local handmade arts and crafts and celebrate community.

8. Canzine Toronto 2019

Where: Art Gallery of Ontario β€” 317 Dundas St. W
When: Saturday from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Canzine Toronto is back! Head to the AGO this Saturday for a festival filled with zine culture and the independent arts. You’ll find workshops, exhibitions, an awards ceremony and kids programming on site.

9. The Terry Fox Run

Where: Woodbine Bathing Station Change House β€” 1675 Lake Shore Blvd E
When: Sunday from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The annual Terry Fox Run is happening in the east end of the city. Join a 5km walk or a 10km bike route to help raise money for cancer research. Everyone is welcome to participate and you can make a donation online.

10. Free Cannabis Walking Tour By North 420 Cannabis Tours

Where: Outside Aroma Espresso Bar β€” 535 Queen St. W
When: Saturday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Join this educational tour to learn more about cannabis history and everything you need to know about the plant. Bring your own cannabis and explore Toronto’s graffiti avenue.
