Happy Pride weekend!

With countless Toronto Pride events going on in the city this weekend, the TTC is diverting buses and streetcars around the festival.

If you're planning to attend one (or all) of the marches and parades this weekend, the TTC recommends taking Line 1 or Line 2 to Bloor-Yonge station or Line 1 to Yonge-Dundas Square for the best views.

Here's what you need to know...

94 Wellesley Route Change

From 12:01 a.m. on June 21 to 6 a.m. on June 24, the 94 Wellesley bus will divert both ways via Wellesley Street, Bay Street, College Street, Carlton Street, Jarvis Street, and Wellesley Street East. During the marches and parades, 94 Wellesley will be spilt into two routes: east and west.

On June 22, between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., 94 Wellesley will divert via Harbord Street, Spadina Avenue, College Street, Carlton Street, Jarvis Street, and Wellesley Street East for the Pride and Remembrance run.

506 Carlton Streetcar Diversion

On June 21 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and June 22 from 1:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., the 506 Carlton Streetcar will divert both ways via College Street, Bay Street, Dundas Street, Parliament Street and Gerrard Street East for the Trans and Dyke Marches.

506 Carlton will be split into two routes on June 23 between 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. for the annual Toronto Pride Parade.

The new routes will run west from College Street to Spadina Avenue to Spadina Station, south on Spadina Avenue to College Street and then back to the normal route. Going east, the route will run from Gerrard Street East to Parliament Street to Broadview Avenue, back to Gerrard Street East before continuing on the regular route.

5 Avenue Rd. Route Change

On June 22 between 8:30 a.m. and 12 p.m., the 5 Avenue Rd. bus will divert southbound from Avenue Road to Bloor Street West to St. George Street to Prince Arthur Avenue to St. George Station for the Pride and Remembrance run.

Northbound, the diversion will go from St. George Station to Bedford Road to Bloor Street West, then Avenue Road back to the regular route.

505 Dundas Streetcar Diversion

The 505 Dundas Streetcar will divert around the Pride Parade on June 23 between 12:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The streetcar will run both ways via Dundas Street, Bay Street, Queen Street, Jarvis Street, and Dundas Street East.

TTC Pride Streetcar Diversions

Throughout the festival weekend, the TTC will also be offering designated Wheel-Trans pick-up locations for customers requiring accessible service.

Those in need can book pick-up and drop-off service at the following locations:

  • Pride 1 Stop: 83 Gloucester Street
  • Pride 2 Stop: 90 Charles Street East
  • Pride 3 Stop: 15 Breadalbane Street
  • Pride 4 Stop: 75 St. Nicholas Street
  • Pride 5 Stop: 14 Carlton Street
  • Pride 6 Stop: 19 Horticultural Avenue
  • Pride 7 Stop: 100 Gloucester Street

Please note that during this weekend's diversions, buses will be prohibited from entering Wellesley station.
