A soggy week has yielded mixed results for Toronto real estate listings. Activity is down on a month-over-month basis compared to the same week in March. Detached houses and condos experienced the smallest declines, at -2 per cent and -18 per cent, respectively. However, both home types continued to improve from last year. Houses went up 11 per cent (representing 122 transactions) and condo units increased by 9 per cent (187 units).

There was more volatility found in the semi-detached and townhouse segments as lower overall inventory for both of these home types can lead to greater swings in sales trends. A total of 33 semi-detached homes sold, marketing a -25 per cent decline from March, and down -11 per cent from 2018. Meanwhile, 18 townhomes changed hands, a month-over-month decrease of -42 per cent, and down -25 per cent year over year.
