We already warned you that this would be a rough year for TTC riders. With a whopping 73 closures expected in 2019, it should come as no surprise to anyone that the TTC is closing early yet again this week for corridor maintenance.

Starting on Monday night at 11 p.m. and running until Friday morning at 6 a.m., all stations between Wilson and St. Clair West will shut down a few hours earlier than usual.

Here’s what you need to know:

What’s Closed

There will be no subway service on Line 1 between Wilson and St. Clair West stations between 11 p.m. and 6 a.m. almost every night this week due to corridor maintenance. The closure includes Yorkdale, Lawrence West, Glencairn and Eglinton West terminals.

How To Navigate The Closure

Shuttle buses will operate along the normal subway route. Buses will stop at all the regular subway station stops, just outside the typical zone. Wheel-Trans service will also be available, however, since Wilson Station is not yet accessible, customers requiring an elevator should continue to Sheppard West Station.

How To Pay

If you’re paying with PRESTO during the subway closure just tap your card when you first board the TTC.

If you are transferring from the subway to a shuttle bus or from a shuttle bus to the subway, don’t tap your PRESTO card again. Unlike normal subway to bus transfers, shuttle buses do not need a second tap.

Cash and token fares will still be accepted on the shuttle bus, which will get you a transfer onto the subway (and vice versa).

Normal service will resume in the mornings.
