Getting from Toronto to Muskoka just got a whole lot faster.
Porter Airlines just announced a new 20-minute flight service from Toronto to Muskoka. The summer service will be between Billy Bishop and Muskoka airports from June 27 to September 3.
Departure times for the summer service from Toronto are 1:10 p.m. on Thursdays and 9:20 a.m. on Mondays. From Muskoka, departure times are 2:20 p.m. on Thursdays and 10:30 a.m. on Mondays.
On long weekends, the Monday flights will be shifted to Tuesdays so you can enjoy even more time lounging on the dock.
“Muskoka is an inspiring destination that attracts travellers from near and far,” said Robert Deluce, president and CEO of Porter Airlines. “This new route serves as a great opportunity to link Muskoka to our North American network.”
Once in Muskoka, Porter customers can take advantage of a seasonal shuttle service with Explorers’ Edge. The service will take passengers to accommodations across the region. Passengers coming from Muskoka, on the other hand, can take advantage of Billy Bishop Toronto City Airport’s many connecting flights to other Porter destinations in Canada and the U.S.
There is one drawback though, with no weekend departures, those heading to or from cottage country will still have to take Friday off work, but at least they won’t have to sit in traffic!
