Here's a list that's not so Toronto-friendly. The list of friendliest communities and towns in Canada for 2018 has just been released — and Toronto doesn't even crack the top-25. Ontario fairs well, and one of our very own is the fairest of them all ...

Congratulations to Niagara-on-the-Lake. (It's hard not to be friendly in beautiful surroundings like those in that darling town, right?)

To create its second annual report of the friendliest towns in Canada, Expedia examined hotel review data from 2017 and found the highest-rated service scores.

"These ratings indicate the most helpful, dutiful, and welcoming experiences across the country," Expedia notes in its report.

So, from a list of over 750 destinations, the top-25 towns and communities each had at least 100 reviews and a four-star rating or higher.

Ontario was well represented by Huntsville, Vaughan, Sault Ste. Marie and Peterborough, finishing 7th, 8th, 9th and 12th, respectively.
