Is your backyard in need of a revamp? HGTV could help.

The home improvement network is looking for Toronto homeowners to feature on the new season of “Backyard Builds.” The series follows contractor Brian McCourt and design expert Sarah Keenleyside as they help transform people’s backyards into the outdoor space they’ve always dreamed of.

The duo is prepared to go above and beyond for those interested in “maximizing their backyard’s potential.”

Shipping container, yoga studios, adult tree houses, kids’ sleepover suite, garden igloo, workshop, accessibility options we want to help you create interesting structures that expand and beautify your living space!” HGTV’s casting call reads.

A chance to get a backyard makeover and be featured on TV seems like enough incentive for anyone to apply. But for those who need a bit more encouragement, HGTV is prepared to contribute $10,000 towards selected participant’s dream projects.

People who own a home in Toronto, or within 30 to 45 minutes of the city, are eligible to apply but will need to have at least $45,000 to invest in the renovation. Filming will take place anytime between April and November, and participants must be available a minimum of two non-consecutive weekdays for on-camera interviews.

And, of course, those with an outgoing, enthusiastic personality are preferred. You can find the HGTV application here.

“Backyard Builds” first aired in 2017. The show returns for its second season on March 28 at 10 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.

It seems like spring is the season for HGTV casting calls. In addition to “Backyard Builds,” the network is also in search of GTA homeowners to feature on their new renovation show “Property Brothers: Forever Home.” The new series will be hosted by famed duo Drew and Jonathan Scott, who will help families turn their ordinary house into their dream home.
